Greatwood Spring Fling

Each Spring our neighborhood rec center is host to the Greatwood Spring Fling, complete with petting zoo, food, balloons and a train ride. The train was the higlight of Henry's visit and I think we rode it 3 times. And yes, I think that duck was dipped in kool aid - crazy!

Easter Easter Joy Joy!

This year our Easter was more on the quiet side, but still a very joyous day. Our church hosts an Easter Egg hunt that we went to on Saturday and then took in church and the pancake breakfast on Sunday. It was fun to see Henry enjoy the holiday!

Where have we been?

I have no idea where the time goes, but we realized that there haven't been posts to the blog since March - yikes! Below are some Henry moments over the last 6 weeks.

Do I have something on my face?

Houston Rodeo

Team Franke showed their true Texas colors and ventured out to the Houston Rodeo yesterday. It was perfect day to be there - low 70's, sunny, minimal traffic and we beat the crowds and got there before 10 am. There is a ton to see and do at the Rodeo, but its pretty easy to pare down what would be interesting for Henry. It was hard to tell if the highlight was the petting zoo, running up and down an astro-turfed indoor hill, or helping Mom with her burrito.

We have all enjoyed that it is getting warmer in Houston, but I think Henry has enjoyed it the most because he can usually get to the park at the end of our street at least once a day.
