Just catching up on my reading

I bought Henry a new counting board book about dogs and as you can tell he really liked it. I hope that this pose will be repeated for years to come.

Henry is 7 months old

I know I sound like a broken record, but how time flies. Henry turned 7 months old today and crazy to think we are closer to him being 1 than to when he was born. The latest milestone is that he is able to get on all fours and rock back and forth, so any day now, he is going to actually start crawling forward. We're definitely not ready yet for that.

We meet again.....

Last weekend, Mark and I hosted a dinner for his Frito team at our house and we invited the Baker's over early so that Landon and Henry could get reacquainted. They had met back in November when they were only a month or so old (see post dated 11/17/08).

Landon is about 1 month older than Henry and definitely more on the move. He was very anxious to touch Henry. Henry, however, was pretty tentative. I wonder how/if this interaction will translate to future friendships.

Henry saying: "Nice to meet you. Can I hold your hand?"

Henry thinking: "Man, this guy plays rough"

Henry concluding: "This guys is pretty nice and I wish I had that hair"

Check out those muscles

This definitely doesn't qualify as a great picture, but I had to post it because I am convinced that Henry has definition to his arms. So, I took a picture to see if anyone else concurred.

The other funny thing about this picture is that Henry is just wearing a diaper and a bib. He looked a little bit like a Chippendale dancer...ala Chris Farley

Enjoying a warm day

This weekend it reached into the low 90's with high humidity, so Henry and I headed out to purchase a much needed baby pool. We tested it yesterday and it was a splash! (no pun intended) Even Dasher liked it...but thought it was a large water bowl and indulged in a couple of slurps. With it being this hot already in May, I think this will get a lot of use.

Two notes: 1) Please ignore our disgustly long grass...it is in bad need of a mow 2) Yes, Shiner Bock always tastes better (baby) poolside
