Today is opening day for the Astros and as much as the Bayes family hates it, we've become fans of the local team. Hopefully Henry will get to his first major league game soon.

Neighborhood Spring Fling
Every April, our neighborhood hosts a Spring Fling near the Rec Center which is no more than a band, some food booth and a petting zoo, but it is a good excuse for a long walk and fresh air. The whole family (Dasher too) went there this past Saturday and stayed all of 30 mins before we had to head back for Henry's nap. He enjoyed looking (not touching) the various petting zoo animals and Dad caught a good pic of the Baby Bjorn in use.
Working from Home
It was inevitable, but Thurs Katy was sick, so Mark and I had to juggle our schedules to be with Henry. During naps, I was taking conference calls in the office, while Mark was on speaker phone in the great room. Ah, the coordination of dual careers! It worked out really well and as you can see Henry got to spend a little time with me while I was wrapping up.

Henry is 5 months old
Crazy to think that Henry is five months old today. In the last month, he has filled out and is continuing to grow longer...so much so that his activity jumper may need to be adjusting up a notch soon. From this picture you can see that he is beginning to sit up a lot and really tries to pull himself into that position. He can steady himself for a good minute before he face plants into the floor, but you can tell that he prefers being up vs lying on his back. I'm sure in a few weeks he'll be doing it on his own.
Henry and his dog
More and more the thing that entertains Henry the most is our dog Dasher. Henry lights up when he walks by or lies by his activity jumper and smiles from ear to ear when Dasher licks his toes. Dasher is very patient with Henry and I think enjoyes the attention, but doesn't yet run and jump to greet Henry....not yet.
Fuzzy PJ's
Henry has a much loved pair of fleece pajamas that he somehow continues to fit in even though they are size 3 months. The best part of the pajamas are the Baby Einstein characters on the feet, which he can see well when sitting in his highchair. The other night he was fascinated by them as you can see from the pictures.
Take me out to the ballgame
